"Overall good Set"
2010-01-28
By First Time Mommy (United States)
I do this like set. The only thing that bothers me is not knowing whether it is BPA free or not. I liked that it came with the toothbrush, a tooth massager and a fingerbrush. There are a few other things that bother me though... The tooth massager is almost like a stick and putting that in my babies mouth freaks me out. I'm sure it's definitely helping getting his teeth to come out of the gums but I'm afraid of him choking on it or hurting it in his mouth. I of course hold it but babies love to grab. I really think it's kind of dangerous. Also, I wish the finger brush didn't have bristles on it. One side just has the regular bumps and the other has bristles. Why do you need bristles on a finger brush? The finger brushes is for cleaning gums and when they have teeth you go to the toothbrush. The bristles get in the way when I use the non-bristle side. It just seems this product was well intended but not fully thought out.

"Great teether stick!" 2010-01-05
By Jennifer (Troy, MI)
To be honest, we haven't used the toothbrush yet, as our little guy has just started to get teeth...but he loves the heck out of the gum stimulator (see uploaded pic). He carries it around with him wherever he goes, and I'm almost tempted to buy a second one just as a backup! We recently tried the fingertip brush and he loves chewing on it so much that a) it's hard to use it on his gums/teeth and b) it hurts your finger. So, if you have a chewer, you might not want to use the fingertip brush!Overall, this set offers a great bang for your buck, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

"great product"
2009-09-11
By Crystal L. Messenger (Boise, ID)
I love this because it covers 3 separate stages of teething. first, there is the fingertooth brush for those first couple teeth, which is sturdier than previous ones I've purchased. Then you have the gum soother, that my daughter just likes to chew on by herself. Then you have the toothbrush with the handle that makes it easy for her to hold by herself also. Great product!!

"An okay for a start"
2009-06-23
By Mama G. (Illinois)
The best part of the kit is the little gum/teeth rubber brush that you put on a finger. The rest is really so-so: my child didn't like the gum stimulator at all (it's too hard), and the toothbrush (the brush itself) is not very comfortable to reach all the areas inside the little one's mouth. The bottom line, it's a good set for a start, but you should look for something better to improve the quality of brushing those little teeth.

"Great Trio" 2009-05-05
By judychrz
Seems to be a great set for baby's first teeth. We've mostly used the over-the-finger brush, but have moved on to the handled brush. I have to hold it close to the top, or else he'll grab on and start waving it around. The teething handle is also great to gnaw on and can reach molars. Try dipping it in some food to make it more appealing. Helps with diminishing the gag reflex too!

"Big upgrade over Sonicare in one very important area"
2010-02-25
By C. Su
Big upgrade over Sonicare in one very important area - cleanliness. I used the Sonicare for years and found it extremely difficult to keep the brush head clean despite following all the various tips you can easily find with a quick google search. The brush would consistently grow mold over time regardless of how careful I was. While the Sonicare still has more bells and whistles overall (this could be due to model difference), I'm willing to sacrifice those little things for what I think is probably one of the two criteria that actually matter: 1) how well the brush cleans and 2) how clean the brush stays. By the way, the Oral B cleans teeth on par with Sonicare, in my own opinion.

"Decent alternative"
2010-02-17
By Mark
Used the Sonicare for many years and liked it, but the housing was stained and it was time to go bye bye. Oral B did a pretty good job of ripping off the Sonicare technology. What I did not like is that the Oral B didn't shut off automatically after 2 minutes like the Sonicare, plus the shutoff button accumulates toothpaste runoff in the process, which can be kind off gross to turn off. Maybe it is the shape of the Oral B brush, but it sometimes felt like it missed those hard to reach places too. Still a decent product with a decent price. If I had it to do over though, I would probably spend more money and buy the Sonicare again.

"Super Product" 2010-02-14

The Oral-B product is the best I have ever used. Great Buy and coupon to save even more.

"Pulsonic"
2010-02-08
By Stephen Murphy (New Orleans)
The pulsing action is now considered to be the best way to brush your teeth. It has two speeds, one for vigorous brushing and one for gum stimulation.

"So you thought your teeth were clean b4?"
2010-02-06
By Eliza (Sublette, Il corn country)
Amazing! I had been using a Braun electric tooth brush for years and decided on the Pulsonic. WOW! That's all I can say. My teeth feel amazing. I'm not obsessed with brushing, but am meticulous. My hygenist always says she has nothing to do on my visits because I have so little plaque. Now I only go to the dentist for a check up once a year. After I brush with the Pulsonic, it's feels like I just came out the dentist's chair. I would recommend the Pulsonic to everyone!!!

My last Phillips electric toothbrush lasted 10 years!!! This model is easier to use, priced well, & I hope lasts as long. I killed my 1st brush by letting water get into the charger base. Be sure to wipe handle and base dry...good prodct.

"Sonicare is the best. That is all."
2010-02-14

This is my second Sonicare purchase (as a gift). These toothbrushes pay for themselves many times over in dental health, brightening smiles, and improving gum health, and will also decrease dental expenses. This is a great deal. Positive transaction, as usual. I highly recommend this!

"Buyer beware" 2010-01-20
By S. Karant
If you don't mind that the Sonicare toothbrushes last under a year - even when you replace the heads and follow all their instructions - then this is for you. At my dentist's insistence, after a first failure for a more expensive model, I bought this lemon (after reading all the reviews). It almost made it to 10 months...I am switching to oral B.

"Wonderful Product"
2010-02-22

I have heard about these toothbrushes and wish I would have ordered it sooner. What an amazing brushing experience. This toothbrush really does give you that "fresh from the dentist" feel. I can imagine going back to a regular toothbrush again.

"Excellent care for your "pearly whites""
2010-02-18
By PT Cruiser (CA USA)
If you want a toothbrush that really gets your teeth squeaky clean a Philips Sonicare is the toothbrush for you. My first Sonicare toothbrush was a more basic model, the Philips Sonicare R710 HealthyWhite Power Toothbrush and it did an excellent job. This one is a lot fancier and has a great "high tech" look with the UV Brush Head Sanitizer that lights up with a spacey blue color when it's being used. The brush handle itself also lights up showing the different settings such as Clean, Gum Care, Refresh, Sensitive and Massage. Each is a little different speed although some are so close it's difficult to feel a lot of difference with the toothbrush in your mouth. The only thing that I wish was different is that you have to turn the toothbrush off to change the settings. It would have been nice to be able to change while the brush was running.
As far as cleaning your teeth, you just can't beat a Sonicare. I've had Braun and Oral-B toothbrushes in the past and they just don't come close to the Sonicare in the way they clean my teeth. You know that feeling after you come out of the dentist's office for a cleaning where your teeth have that polished, smooth feeling when you run your tongue over them? Even after the first time using this one my teeth felt that way. Another nice thing was that my gums don't bleed when I use this toothbrush. For as long as I can remember my gums have bled after brushing my teeth, even when brushing by hand. I thought with the way this brush moves so fast that it would cause bleeding too but for some reason it doesn't.
This toothbrush comes with 2 ProResults brush heads, the UV Brush Head Sanitizer, 1 travel charger, 2 hygienic travel caps, and 1 hard travel case. I've never taken an electric toothbrush along when I traveled before, I just used the old basic hand toothbrush, but I've become so spoiled and the travel charger takes up so little room that I take this one along. The replacement brushes aren't cheap, but the way this toothbrush cleans my teeth makes them worth the price.
I was able to try this toothbrush through the Amazon Vine program or I probably would have gone on using my Philips Sonicare R710 HealthyWhite Power model. (Which another family member was happy to get.) It works just fine and does just as good a job of cleaning my teeth. But this one is really attractive and I love having all the different settings and choices of speeds. The UV cleaner is a nice touch. With the previous model I had to soak the brushes in hydrogen peroxide to sanitize them. And if you're into aesthetics, this one looks really nice on the bathroom counter. Two thumbs up for Sonicare!

"The best product available!!"
2010-02-17
By Jeannie Cole (Lower Hudson Valley, NY)
There is no other toothbrush that gives you the results of the Sonicare. I suffered at the dentists office for years due to tarter build up and gum problems. My dentist suggested I get a Sonicare but I procrastinated for years. Finally, I purchased one (13 years ago) and it changed my life. I now have next to no tarter, my teeth are cleaner and whiter than ever, my gums are healthy and going to the dentist is now a snap. My first Sonicare lasted over 13 years and both my husband and me used it. We now use the Flexcare Plus and love it. I love that the head is smaller and can more easily get to the back teeth, I love how the toothbrush has a break-in period so that your gums and teeth get used to it, I like the different options available and the fact that it has a built in sterilizer and travel charger. The Sonicare has proven itself over and over for years. There is no product that compares to this. Throw you electric tooth brush away as it does nothing except make brushing "easier." The Sonicare on the other hand, gets your teeth whiter & cleaner, significantly reduces tarter and improves the health of your gums. It is worth every penny and change your dreaded dental visits.

"Best buy ever my family don't brush we sonicare"

This really works n you see a big differences it helps your teeth to be healthy gums buy it you will be happy with sonicare

"Works Great, Looks Nice" 2010-02-13
By Brian Koch (MI United States)
I have been using Sonicare Toothbrushes for years and this one is pretty similar to the last one that I had with the exception of the extra gum care setting and the fact that the indicators are not visible unless you are using it which gives a sleeker look as compared to the older versions. I have not had a single cavity since I started using Sonicares and I have a great checkup every 6 months even though I only actually brush once a day. The timer helps you make sure you brush the right amount of time, the different settings give you lots of options, and the technology helps keep your teeth clean and fresh. If there is any down side it would be that the replacement heads are not cheap, but I only replace mine once a year or so and it seems to be just fine, so that is not too big of a deal.

Amazon.com Product Description

The Sonicare FlexCare R910 toothbrush features the latest innovations in oral hygiene from Philips to deliver the cleanest, most refreshing teeth you can get between dentist visits. Featuring new ProResults brush heads, multiple cleaning modes, and built-in timers, the FlexCare is clinically proven to remove more plaque than Oral B Triumph and even the Sonicare Elite.

New Brush Heads for Better Cleaning
The FlexCare uses the newly designed ProResults brush heads with increased tooth coverage and a broader sweeping motion that results in better plaque removal. Combined with Sonicare's sonic technology, the high-speed bristle action allows a powerful yet gentle cleaning action that ensures a deep cleaning between teeth and along the gum line. With a slim, angled neck, the FlexCare makes it is easy to access hard-to-reach areas of the mouth. The ProResults brush heads come in two sizes: "standard" for a regular cleaning, and "mini" for precision in hard-to-reach areas.

The toothbrush handle also has a new tapered design that is easier to grip, and with a non-slip soft grip for better control. Compared to the Sonicare Elite, the FlexCare is 30 percent smaller, 16 percent lighter, and has 80 percent less vibration, but achieves superior results.

Multiple Cleaning Modes
The FlexCare offers maximum flexibility with your teeth cleaning. There are three two-minute brushing modes that offer "Clean" mode for full power and optimal cleaning, "Sensitive" mode for gentler brushing in sensitive areas, and "Massage" mode for a stimulating, soothing cleaning action.

The FlexCare also offers two routines: "GoCare" is a quick one-minute routine for between regular brushings, and "MaxCare" is a three-minute cleaning mode that combines two minutes of "Clean" mode with one minute of "Massage" mode.

Thanks to the FlexCare's Quadpacer, the toothbrush beeps every thirty seconds to let you know it is time to move on to the next quadrant of your mouth. The brush also features a Smartimer that automatically shuts off the toothbrush after the recommended two minutes of cleaning (unless using the MaxCare routine).

New ProResults brush heads have increased coverage for more plaque removal.
And for first-time users of FlexCare, an "easy-start" feature allows you to work your way up to full strength by gently increasing the power over your first 14 uses.

Long Lasting Battery
With a lithium ion battery, you don't have to worry about running out of power when you're traveling; with regular brushing, the FlexCare lasts up to two weeks between charges! Lithium ion technology offers more energy and is more environmentally safe as compared to other rechargeable battery technologies. A deluxe recharge gauge on the handle keeps you notified of the amount of charge left.

The Sonicare FlexCare R910 is backed by a 2-year warranty.

What's in the Box:
Sonicare toothbrush, one ProResults standard brush head, deluxe charger with cord wrap and brush head storage, luxury soft travel case, hygienic travel cap, three additional color code rings.

Normally, I have been very satisfied with Amazon purchases. These mini Sonicare brush heads are not up to par!One was replaced by Philips because the magnet came off after a few uses. Now the second one I'm using has bristles coming out of the tooth brush head. I'm trimming them, but, quality is not what I expected!

"Like Black Mold? Buy this brush."
2010-02-10
By Journeywoman (Michigan United States)
This model has to be the worse electric brush I've ever owned. It is the only one that developed black mold. After buying new brushes, Phillips' sanitizer, and sanitizing the base, I had to toss another brush after six weeks. The only way to keep this brush clean is to break it down, clean it, then air dry it every time it is used. The plastic used appears to be a perfect breeding ground for bacteria and mold. I wonder how many people have been made ill or had allergic reactions to mold.Don't waste your money.

I have been using the Mentadent ProCare for almost (5) years. When I first started using them, they were available in most stores. Now they are quite hard to find? I am Sales Manager and do a good deal of traveling. Wherever I go try to locate the toothbrushes. Lately have I have been unsuccessful.I was glad to see that Amazon carried them. I order two packs of six, which should last me for about a year and a half. The Mentadent ProCare is hands down the best toothbrush I have ever used! Hopefully the (6) packs come in assorted colors, since I have unfortunately convince my girlfriend to swith.

"Solid long lasting toothbrush" 2009-06-22
By Abhik
This toothbrush is simply the best. I've tried several different brands and models from dirt cheap to moderately expensive and this is the first toothbrush that has impressed me.The bristles are soft but very hardy. I've been using the same one for over 2 months and the bristles look almost brand new. One time, it fell out of my travel bag, got crushed under some suitcases (for about 6 hours), and after one brushing session it was back to normal!Probably the best feature is flexible handle. It *actually* bends. Most brushes claim they have a flexible handle, but in practice they're still very stiff. With the Mentadent ProCare, if you try to brush hard, the handle *will* bend (you can see it!) and reduce your brushing strength (which may be another reason the bristles last so long).I will be sticking with these ones for a long time.

"i'm obsessed with my clean teeth" 2010-02-02
By ActionJem (Georgia)
I love this toothbrush! My teeth (and gums) have never felt better. I was concerned that my gums would hurt when I first used it, but it's gentle enough to not hurt whilst still making your teeth feel AMAZING. I also bought the whitening attachments and I swear my teeth are whiter after using it once. There is nothing I would change about this product...

"Clean-clean teeth!"

By Linda Watkins (Colorado Springs,CO)
I am so surprised at how clean my teeth felt after just 3 uses. I have a problem with plaque behind my lower front teeth. Usually a week after I go to the hygenist they just don't feel clean. Since using the Oral B Vitality Dual Clean, every day feels like I just had my teeth professionally cleaned. The charger is great and holds a charge even longer than the paperwork said it would. It doesn't get all the particles out from between the teeth, so I would suggest you floss first.

By Asamo (gresham, oregon United States)
Been using it for 3 months without any problems. The first time using it I was very surprized by how much power it has. It made my gums bleed a little at first. Cleans teeth, gums and toung really well. It is left on the charger when not in use so I can't say how long the battery will last between charges. Not to crazy about the sea green color so it is beeing rated at 4 stars Dont turn it on before getting brush inside your mouth or the toothpast can end up on the counter or you.

"Great value!" 2010-01-29
By Hideki Yamada (St. Paul, MN USA)
I have now used this product every day for three months, and am very impressed with its performance. It brushes thoroughly, and the timer function is a wonderful extra to remind you that you have brushed long enough. As I used this toothbrush, I could not imagine paying 70, 80, or even over 100 dollars that some powered toothbrushes in the marketplace are priced at. This product offers a good performance and is a great value, and I highly recommend it.

These brushes are extremely uncomfortable to use. Take a look at any toothbrush and you'll notice that the head either has no angle or is angled toward the face when brushing. The Preserve brush does the complete opposite. The head of the toothbrush is angled back and away from the face when held. You need to compensate for this angle to bring the head to your teeth by uncomfortably bending your wrist more so than you would a normal brush. IMO, these brushes are unusable. And they definitely should not be used by anyone with any wrist conditions.

I first found this brush about two years ago(?) and fell in love with them, then I haven't been able to find them the past year at all, so I've been using the toothbrush that my dentist gives me at each cleaning. I finally found one (and the last one at that) a few months ago and it reconfirmed everything that I loved about them.I use the Ultra Soft because it is just that, Ultra Soft. My gums are in much better shape because of this, and I have never had a problem with my teeth feeling unclean because it is so soft. My teeth actually stay clean longer when i use this toothbrush and my favorite toothpaste.I have told people about this toothbrush so many times and have even asked for them for Christmas, they are great and everyone should try them. For the person who said there was more "stuff" on their teeth with flossing after brushing with these... Your suppose to floss BEFORE brushing, it breaks up plaque, food bits, etc. making your teeth be cleaner for longer.

If you have sensitive teeth or gums, this is the perfect toothbrush for you! I searched for years before I found this eco-friendly, smartly angled brush with delicate bristles that won't irritate my recessed gums. My teeth are actually cleaner now because it doesn't hurt to brush them with this ultrasoft toothbrush. However, make sure you buy the Preserve Ultrasoft toothbrush as the Preserve Soft toothbrush is surprisingly much harsher on sensitive gums and teeth.

These toothbrushes are terrible. Everytime I brush, at least 1 or 2 bristles come loose. Really a gross feeling. They don't last long either.

I purchased one of these babies at Target today. I needed a new toothbrush, and saw the fantastic $2 price, and the eye-catching design, and was hooked. (btw, why are these more $$ on amazon?!) I was pleased that they were made out of recycled material, and even the packaging is a travel container! Which is great for me, because I travel all the time, and always lose mine. This is a TRULY soft brush. Softer than my "Extra Soft Colgate 360" that I've been using for years. The angle of the neck makes it much much easier to brush the way my periodontist has told me to. I'm in need of a gum graft, so my gums are very sensitive. This tooth brush didn't cause any irritation to my sensitive gums at all!I only have one complaint, and it was mentioned in another review. Although this is truly soft, and feels like it's doing a great job cleaning your teeth, it does leave a lot behind. I've found that a lot of tooth brushes leave gunk on my teeth, but this left a wee more. I noticed more than usual on my floss.I'm going to continue with this product for a bit though. The ultra softness that does not harm my gums, the very economical price, and the recyclability are all worth while attributes!

"Best Sonicare ever" 2010-02-11
By S. Rosenberg (Albuquerque,NM USA)
I had the Intelliclen system I was happy with it in till I learned that sonicare no longer made brush heads for it what ever reason which was stupid but whatever I think it was mainly because they wanted people to upgrade.... So I Bought the 900+ flex-care after the first time I'm glad I did... This little handle packs a punch. it has to be the most powerful sonicare Ive ever experienced with all the options as well ? where could I go? Some people say it's noisy I do not see how this is. It is just has loud/quite as any other sonicare So I do not know what they are talking about.. I think they best Option really is the Quad-placer I'm glad they kept that on there. I personally like it and surprised no one else is even talked about it. Plus having the U.V. Sanitizer on board is nice only takes 10mins to run a cycle. the whole unit really don't take up a lot of room if you have a typical sink. though if you have something like a pedestal you might need a shelf or something because it wont fit. It dose come with two brush size's I personally only the bigger one it also come's with a smaller one. I really hope Sonicare plans on keeping this one around longer then 4 years unlike my last one. If you are looking for a Top notch rechargeable toothbrush you would be crazy not to buy this one..

Love my new Sonicare! After using your teeth feel like you just left the dentist. Have heard about all the germs that are on your toothbrush so the sanitizer is a great feature. While it is expensive, I think it is certainly worth it and trust that it will last for many years.

"Vitality > SmartSeries 5000"
2010-02-08
By feedback (minneapolis)
* excellent no-frills electric toothbrush *
I had previously purchased the Oral-B SmartSeries 5000 and was stunned by its inadequacies. See 2 star review for more information. I shipped it back to the company for a full refund and purchased this inexpensive Vitality toothbrush to retain the benefits of this approach, which seemed possible given the same brushheads are used. It really does live up to the reviews and is quite good. The speed is not so fast that it is unusable, and it works well for sensitive teeth, whereas with the SmartSeries 5000 could only be used on its slowest speed. The Vitality single-speed is more towards a sensitive setting on the more expensive brush, yet for me it is perfect. Two speeds would be nice, though the default is just about right already. What amazes me about these products is that they do not come with mounting kits or cord management assistance, and thus it must be assumed everyone has a huge sink to store such items on. I do not. In addition, there is a real risk of having this charging base fall into a sink of water, at which point electrocution is possible. That would seem incentive enough to get better control over how to use these devices. I rigged up my own system (see photos above, upper-left*) not only to hide the toothbrush from sight, also because of the potential for the charging base to fall into the sink. It just seems like there is no common sense about how people use these devices and what those (millions?) who get them have to deal with as a result of the gap between what is offered and how it is required to be used in daily functioning. Instead of a million people having to do a DIY project to get the cords and brushheads and charging base configured safely and effectively, why is Oral-B not doing this and shipping the things as part of the package?

That said, for a compromise toothbrush it is excellent. I wanted the higher quality product with brushhead holder, and potentially better functioning. This did not exist. And thus the Vitality is a good intermediate investment, until better technology arrives in these products, specifically a new battery - not the existing NiCads which need charging every 5 days or so. So too, a 4-part circular electroluminescent or LED indicator on or near the base of the brushholder for timing the brushing of each quadrant of the mouth, visible in the mirror. (See image for mockup).

"I love my clean teeth!" 2010-02-07
By N. Morton (Cleveland, OH)
This was a replacement for my old electric toothbrush that died. I had spent quite a bit of money on the other one and it lasted a couple years. To my delight, this one does the same job as the other. This gives me the same results and saves some money. Gotta love that.

"Great in the beginning, but doesn't last"
2010-02-03
By R. Ned
Be careful and save the packaging and warranty information if you buy this brush. While it is a good brush for a good price, mine didn't last for 9 months before it started losing its ability to hold a full charge. Now, after having it for 13 months, I can only use it 3-4 times before it needs to be recharged! So, I just called the phone number in the package insert, and complained. They are sending me a new one! (There are no service centers where I live). This is a good buy, and I like the fact that it fits multiple kinds of brush heads. The 2 minute timer is nice as well. But, this brush was not built to last. (Though what, nowadays, is??) The key is to complain and get your money back or hold the company up to its warranty. Thankfully, this brush comes with a 2 year warranty.

"Swear buy Sonicare, this is my 2nd!" 2010-02-10
By Heather Share (atlanta, ga)
I had to buy this toothbrush due to my original Sonicare finally biting the dust. I had it for many years and was well worth it's hefty price I paid for it. Since my original, there have been many new models out and I opted for this one b/c of the better price than a few others.

Pros: More universal head that is more flexible than the originals. Easier to purchase new heads. Now the heads come with the indicator in the bristles to let you know when to replace compared to the old ones that you used to replace every 6mths. My dentist is always very impressed with the condition of my teeth :).
Cons: On this model only, for some reason it doesn't have the beep at every 30sec interval during your 2 minute brushing time.
If you are thinking of buying a Sonicare for the 1st time, BUY IT! They are great at cleaning areas that a normal toothbrush can't. I could not see myself going back to manual.
